Peninsula Parent Speaker Series, formerly known as ParenTeen Quest, is a consortium of parent-teacher organization board members from all high schools in the San Mateo Union High School District. For the past five years, the Peninsula Parent Speaker Series has been proud to offer quality parent education to all members of our high school district community.
The Peninsula Parent Speaker Series is a volunteer-run partnership between the San Mateo Union High School District and the Burlingame School District's PTA Council.

Because boys and girls experience their home and school life differently, Michael explores how the minds of boys and girls develop distinctly—and how parents and educators can care for and support the needs of both daughters and sons.

More than 750 families joined the Peninsula Parent Speaker Series and the SMUHSD on November 15, 2016 for "Discover the Power and Purpose of the Teenage Brain" with Dr. Dan Siegel. Internationally acclaimed author and UCLA psychiatrist, Dr. Daniel Siegel, shared the exciting neuroscience behind the heightened social, emotional and creative energy that drives adolescent behavior. Dispelling myths of raging hormones and immaturity, he explained how crucial changes in the brain prepare us to thrive as interdependent adults.
