Another Successful Adult School International Day

Previous Director Larry Teshara and Two Students
The San Mateo Adult School held its annual International Day Celebration this summer. English language students, grouped by country of origin, came together to celebrate their diversity. Tables with cultural displays, and food and beverages from each country, lined the Adult School court yard. The festivities started with a Parade of Nations, followed by an invitation by then beloved Adult School Director Larry Teshara to learn about other cultures and sample cuisines from around the world. The highlight of the event was student performances that were based on music from their country of origin. This event is a great reminder of how the Adult School is an invaluable resource to people from all over the world!
