Black Parents Association

Join the Black Parents Association

DSC_1202.JPGThe Black Parents Association of the SMUHSD is a volunteer parent’s association made up of a diverse group of parents/guardians, teachers, and friends of all ethnicities. We are dedicated to promoting quality education for students of African and/or African American descent, while offering the best level of support and information to both students and parents.

Our monthly meetings provide informative guest speakers, community and academic resource information, educational field trips, college scholarship information, and networking opportunities to help parents/students stay connected throughout the student’s high school years.

It is our goal to:

  • Be a positive conduit in helping parents, student, and community stay connected
  • Share resources to help assist our child(ren) through their high school experience
  • Acknowledge academic achievement with scholarship awards

We eagerly and wholeheartedly welcome those who are willing to join us in our crusade.  We are looking to help make every school year the most productive year in your student’s academic career.

Don't forget to join us....
